Formed in 1986, by Christine Coverdale, Top Joint Music began as a Woodwind and Brass repair service for local Musicians. The business flourished and in 1990 Mark Godfrey joined the company, both him and Christine having qualified at Newark Technical College on the Woodwind Making and Repairing course. Mark having previously worked for Dodds of Doncaster and then at Boosey and Hawkes in Edgeware, London as a repairer. Since then, the store has just gone from strength to strength.
